Methanol Moonshine Philip March

There are only three men who have won Australian titles in Speedcars and Sprintcars.

Philip March is one of them.

He won his National Speedcar crown in 86’ and his national Sprintcar title in 99’ some thirteen years later.

He was prolific between 83’ and 86’ in Speedcars in particular however.

Piloting the 83’ Stanton chassis powered by a John Lewis built Nissan Z24 Philip conquered plenty in three years – scoring 26 main event wins including State titles and Rick Harvey and Harry Neale Memorials to name only a few.

He was rarely out of the top three in this gorgeous piece with 39 visits to the podium from 56 starts.

Philip went on to become one of the most successful and popular South Aussies of the modern era in Speedcars and Sprintcars and few fans will argue that “Marchy” is one of the true legends of Australian Speedway.
