Methanol Moonshine Masters Series Danny Smith
If anyone should have dual citizenship in the field of Sprintcar Racing it’s Danny Smith.
Danny is half Australian in many people’s eyes.
With nearly thirty visits to our shores and an incredible six trips to victory lane in the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic alone (including three in a row between 1987-1989 – Danny’s battles with Garry Rush in that era in particular are the stuff of legend) he’s a huge part of the Aussie Sprintcar landscape.
He’s driven for many car owners over the years but many (including Danny himself) regard the Lander Toyota sponsored Farr family car as his most iconic.
This Phil Jordison photo typifies Danny Smith – a master of his class with superb car control even in difficult situations.
He’s a God in many circles in the USA and a true American legend in Australia yet he’s still a humble and down to earth guy who appreciates every and any opportunity.
Our Methanol Moonshine Masters Series is exclusively for Aussie Sprintcar drivers but we knew we had to add one American – and that American has to be Danny Smith.
